Walkin' Pets by Handicapped Pets|Our Number One Source for Mobility Devices for Dogs with Mobility Issues
This week our guest is Mark C. Robinson of Walkin' Pets by Handicapped Pets. Mark founded Walkin' Pets 2001 in memory of Mercedes, a slightly epileptic Keeshond who was put to sleep before her time because Mark didn’t know any better, and had no way to find out more.
There mission: "We believe that pets are family and that elderly, disabled, and handicapped pets deserve to live a happy, healthy life." and we couldn't agree more!
We cover quite a bit in this podcast in regard to Walkin' Pets mobility devices that we use for our residents with Degenerative Myelopathy and other mobility diseases, products we weren't aware of, and even a new product that on the horizon. All of which help us help our furry companions live their lives to the fullest even if they don't get around quite as readily as they once did.
Mark says that Walkin' Pets is a "business driven by the community and what they need for their pets with mobility issues." Years ago Marked started a community board, where pet loving parents could go to voice their concerns about challenges their pets where facing and solutions to those challenges. You can find that forum here => => => https://handicappedpet.net/helppets/

And just to let you know, they have a calendar contest for pets with mobility issues that you can enter . The information isn't up on their website just yet as of the recording of this podcast, but it will be available after June 20, 2022, so be sure to check their website then for more details.
And lastly, You may notice that I say "wheel cart" throughout the podcast where Mark says "wheelchair." My silly ADHD brain got the best of me and stuck with "wheel cart"....ugh...so just for clarity, it is "wheelchair."
